Pre-K/Kindergarten

Ages 4-6 Years

Our Pre-K/Kindergarten Program is a more advanced program compared to our primary programs. We prepare your child fully both academically and emotionally, for an excellent transition to elementary school. Classes are five days a week and we offer half day or full day enrollment.

  • Kindergarten is not the start of schooling. By five, most Montessori children will begin to read, and many will be introduced to multiplication and division. It is at this time when many of the earlier lessons come together and become a permanent part of the young child’s understanding.

  • In the Kindergarten Program, your child has many opportunities to act as a leader and teach younger classmates. Research has proven that this experience has powerful benefits for both the mentor and mentee.

  • Montessori is consciously designed to recognize and address different learning styles. Montessori children study cultural geography and grow into global citizens that have empathy and understanding for those that are different.

  • Our goal is to develop students who really understand their schoolwork. Learning is not focused on tote drill and memorization. Students learn through hands-on experience, investigation, and research. They become actively engaged in their studies, rather than passively waiting to be spoon-fed. Montessori children are not afraid of making mistakes because they know how to self-correct and view mistakes as natural steps in the learning process.
